I have a white oval pill with 537 on one side and 53 on the other side. It is an NSAID or non-immflammatory, non-narcotic pain reliever used for stiff joints, osteoarthritis or rheumatory arthritis. It can cause stomach upset and other GI problems if not taken with food. ## The tablet with the marking 1118 93 is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 600mgs of Etodolac, the active ingredient in Lodine. It is a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory drug used for pain. It it like a prescription strength Aleve, IBProphen, Naproxen, etc. It is most commonly prescribed to patients with osteoarthritis, bone spurs, and people who have had orthopedic surgery. i.e. Back surgery, hip replacements, knee replacements, or any broken bones that have to be pinned and/or plated. It is an NSAID pain reliever, but again a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory drug. How long does it take for Lodine to get out of your system? I've been having major anxiety after stopping this medication. ## This medication contains the active ingredient Etodolac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it is most commonly used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. However the times it takes to actually leave your system can be quite different from its half life, so they might not necessarily be equivalent. I've been taking Lodine for 9 years now for arthritis. I would like to know does the medicine make your stomach expand? ## Hello, Nazras! How are you? Was given a steroid injection for right knee pain & was given lodine 2x daily & took glucosamine chondroitin with msm. Felt better in 2 weeks. Stopped taking med & suppliment but suddenly developed stiff achy muscles & joints, specifically backs of knees & neck. Have headache, fever, chills, shakishaking ness of breath (feels like I took in too much chlorine water @ pool-w/out swimming). Loding 400Mg twice daily. Primarily for osteoarthritis. Also relieves pain of bone spurs and bursitis. Take with food. Very effective. ## Lodine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it does work great for some people, whose pain is caused by inflammation.
