Lo Loestrin Fe And Brown Discharge

My period came on Aug 7th and I got started on a new birth control (Lo Loestrin Fe). Since the end of my period I have been having brown vaginal discharge. Its now Aug 30th and I'm still having this discharge. And no, I'm not pregnant. This discharge comes out in spots and sometimes its in clots. It happens daily and it's really embarrassing and annoying. Is this normal? Im still on my first pack and Im really considering to stop taking the pill. My next period is in a few days and I'm afraid about what will happen when It starts.

I started lo loestrin fe on aug. 5th the last day after my period just like my doctor said. Through out this time I had vaginal discharge various times during the beginning of the weeks. It was brownish and it smelled like old blood. like if my body was being cleansed. Now I am off to my next pack tomorrow already took my sugar pills and still dont have a full period? Although for the past 2days I had a light pink discharge and it smelled like period. but my period has never been like that. what does this mean?

When you are new to taking oral contraceptives, it can be completely normal to experience irregular menstrual cycles, because they are hormonal based and your body does have to get used to them. It may take as long as 3 months for your body to adjust.

If such issues continue after the third month, then you may need to try a different contraceptive pill.

Hi there. I'm not sure if you are still checking this question but I am starting my second pack of Lo Loestrin today, it is my second day of my "period" but all that has come out is brown discharge, mostly clotting like blood. This is the same i experienced last month for my period which was my first time taking the pill. I had intercourse twice last month and I'm not sure what to make of this. It sounds like the same situation you experienced, did you find out if you were pregnant or if that brown discharge was your period for that month and was merely your body adjusting.

So i took plan B about two months ago (I hadn’t actually had intercourse yet, it was for precaution) and as a result of that, my period came extremely late. When my period came i started to take loestrin fe for the first time. It was fine for a month, however when i got to the white and brown pills, i never got my period. so i just started another pack. Now it has been about 2 and a half weeks into the second pack, and I've been noticing brown discharge and my aerolas have been changing. I took a pregnancy test about 9 days after not getting a period and it turned out negative. I took one at night and then i took one the next morning. Both negative. I am worried that i might be pregnant, even though i have only had intercourse 3 times with condoms... Has anyone else experience this?

My period is 2 days late but I am experiencing brown discharge. I had unprotected intercourse four days ago and my boyfriend and I didn’t use protection, only the pull out method. I’m not sure of this is a sign of early pregnancy or not? I did take my last two pills a little bit late (maybe 30-40 minutes late) and I know that one month when I was not being responsible, missing pills and taking them late resulted in weird spotting and brown discharge. However, I have been really good with it up till now. I’m just wondering whether taking the pill a little late would result in brown discharge and late periods?

Yes I have also experienced the same thing on this pill. My acne also got worse I got my period for only one day this last time. I am now changing to a different birth control.
