I've been taking Lo Loestrin Fe at the same time every day consistantly for two months with no period... is this normal?

I've been on Loestrin for a little under a year now. I stopped getting my period all together a few months into taking it. The past two months I've experienced symptoms of a period, just no actual menstruation. This month is worse, I'm having headaches, nausea, & mild cramps. My breasts are also sore. Anyone else experience this?

Like most of you I have almost never gotten a period on Lo Loestrin. The exception is when I take off more than 2 days for the sugar pills, then almost immediately I get it. I do this sometimes to reassure myself that I'm not pregnant or when I mess up ( missed days or in consistent) that way I can have my period and then start fresh with a new pack. This month because of traveling and stress I missed quite a few pills so I stopped taking them so I would get my period so I could start a new pack and get back on track.Period has not yet come and it's been almost 2 weeks! I've taken one test- negative and am terrified to take another. Although I know it's common to not get your period while on Lo Loestrin, is it common to not get it when you stop taking it?

I have been on this pill for the past 3 months. The f first 2 months I got freaked out because I didn't have my period but my boyfriend was very supportive n want hesitant to buy multiple pregnancy tests. They were always negative. I do c some brownish discharge n did c blood for like 1 day. Supposedly that's"normal". I did call my dr n they didn't seem worried in the office at all.

This pill will make you skip periods. I was on it for 1 year and for 1 year I had missed periods.

I don't get period either. My dr said that is normal on low dose hormone.

I have been on lo loestren fe since i was 17 and am now 21. Not having a period is completely normal. I think my last period was a year and a half to two years ago. Stop stressing ladies it is a blessing. If i am concerned about pregnancy while having a partner i take a test every 6 months. Dont worry and enjoy the good life that a lot of women dont lol.

You are not the only one. I have been on Loestrin for two months also. When I got past the inactive pills my period had not yet started. I have waited an extra week for my period to start before starting my next pack but it hasnt come. Ive taken several pregnancy tests that show negative so ill just start my new pack this sunday.

I took lo lo estrin for a year before coming off of it to conceive our first child.. I NEVER had a period while on this pill- came off of it, had a period right away, and became pregnant. I am now back on the same pill, had a period the first three months, fourth month got my period exactly back on track, and now.. no more periods. This is completely normal and you shouldn't worry, I was worried sick all the time and spent so much money on tests, it's normal.. no worries!

Hey! I completely understand what you're going through. I got on the pill before I started becoming sexually active and did occasionally get my period. Now that I am sexually active, however, I have noticed that I have missed my period for a few months now. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests within the past couple of months and they have all come back negative. Another thing this may have to do with is missing your pill or taking it at a time other than your usual. Reading these posts comforts me, I thought this was only happening to me! I hope this helped.

this is exactly how I feel!!! I'm really worried because the reason I'm even on the pull is because I had a really bad pregnancy scare. I'm currently 5 days late and I'm feeling exactly as you've described. I'm worried I might be pregnant... But idk if it's just the pill...

I experience the same exact symptoms - insomnia on the sugar pills and have not had a period in three months on it. My doctor forewarned me about this, so it was expected and also explained it's not dangerous. Hope this helps!

I've been on the pill for 5 or 6 months now, the first two or three months I got my period during the blue pills which my doctor told me was normal. I've never ever had a regular period, I always used to skip a month here and there which would definitely freak me out but I was never pregnant. I still have yet to get my period during the sugar pills, and the past two months I haven't gotten anything at all. The first month it was absent I thought that the pill just wasn't doing anything and my period was the same as it always has been, skipping a month here and there. But today I'll be taking my second sugar pill of the pack and haven't seen any sign of my period. The other night I had such bad cramps that I had to take two Midol pills, but now I see nothing. What you ladies are saying is definitely easing my mind a bit, but I'm still too afraid to take a test in fear of actually being pregnant.

@Kelsey I have. I had been taking the pills for two months also. The first month was regular, period for 5 days. The second month I had a period for 1 day. Kinda scared then. Then this month no period at all. Really got scared then. Have taken 3 pregnancy test also and they all came back negative. That's why I'm on the computer right now trying to figure out is this normal and I see other females are having the same problems so its easing my mind a little.

Hi guys,
I started taking these pills a couple months ago and I'm in the third packet now. I was actually supposed to get my period earlier this month on the 11th. And it never came. I'm very worried. I have has unprotected sex the beginning of this month but I waited 7 days like the pills instructed. is there any chance I could be pregnant? My stomach feels like it's getting hard, is that the pills just making me bloated? Im very confused at this point. Please let me know what you guys think.

Hi, I too had been on the Lo Loesterin for the past 3 months and stopped at end of July. I have ALSO recently had bloating (and gas!), serious fatigue and one bout of severe cramping, the night after my husband and I had unprotected sex. I have still not gotten my period, and now am concerned with what could be going on. I did want to say that my period sounded like "Diana" described when l last had it. Barely there, red blood that appeared brown only on tampon, and gone within 48 hours. Weird stuff, to know what goes on while taking this pill!! Thanks to everyone for sharing- it does help to know its not just me! However I am wondering if I could actually be pregnant, since we have had (unprotected) sex once every 2 weeks weeks since being off pills..... Or if my period is even coming now that I've read all this!! Any ideas? Thanks girls.....

I have been on this pill for 4years and neva missed a day. I love this pill cause i neva get my period. Its been about 4years that i havent gotten it due to the pill. I've asked my doctor and she said it is normal cause everyone's body is different. And in the 4 years i havent had a baby, so on that note i can say that this pill is great and i love it :)

I am taking this too, and before taking this I had a really regular period that was pretty easy to predict. but I am on my 3rd pack now and I did not get a period this time when I had white and brown pills. This worries be only because I have never missed a period. But, I have had a really weird sleep schedule so that may throw off my period. I have cramps that feel like I should start at any moment but I haven't yet don't. today I started a new pack. I mean I had sex but it was always protected with a condem. I am just a little confussed and worried.

I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe since August of 2016. I have taken it everyday around the hour I am supposed to (I have forgotten my pack at home while at work sometimes, resulting in me taking it at a later time). I didn't get my period in August of 2017, and that was the first one I have ever skipped. Naturally, I panicked but got my period the next month. This month, I have been having cramps for the past two days but my period has yet to come. I'm supposed to start my new pack tonight, so I will unlikely get my period this month. My boyfriend and I do not use condoms, but use the pull-out method and my pill instead. We do not have intercourse very frequently. Should I be freaking out if I have cramps but no period?

Ive been taking lo loestrin fe since Nov. 2017. Dec2017 I had a shorter/ much lighter period. Jan-April 2018, no more periods.

I have been having random moments of nausea, sometimes before eating, sometimes after.
Headaches, weight gain (despite my activity level staying the same, slightly increasing hoping to balance the gain out).

I am consistent with taking my pills, have not missed any. but without periods and with these symptoms that are similar to pregnancy symptoms, I've been taking monthly pregnancy tests to ease my mind. active, but sex is usually protected.

My DR says I should be fine since no pills have been missed, but better finding out sooner than later?
