Lo Loestrin Fe - Missed Periods (Page 19)
UpdatedI've been taking Lo Loestrin Fe at the same time every day consistantly for two months with no period... is this normal?
I started taking lo loestrin fe last month. I spotted for my period each morning on the brown pill, but it seems like nothing. Is this normal? When should I expect my period to come?
Okay so ive been on the pill almost 2 years maybe , and taking those pills the 2 years it has stoped my period completly , it doesnt come on unless i stop taking the pilss. Here recently i havnt taken my pills in months and my period hasnt came , could i be pregnet?
I've been on birth control pills since I was a freshman in high school (I'm now 21, and a senior in college). I've been on at least 4 different types of pills in the last 7 years due to different complications. I've never been pregnant once in these 7 years. There's been months that I would be scared I was pregnant due to a late or missed period but the tests were always negative. Most recently in April, I went to the OBGYN, complaining about the last brand of birth control pills I was using, as they were causing serious irregular bleeding and weight gain. They were called Levonorgestrel or something like that. However when I told my doctor that she said that those were more like a plan-b pill... So I'm assuming that's maybe how I never got pregnant. I take my pills pretty regularly at night. I have an alarm on my phone for 10:00PM, but that doesn't always mean I'm around the pills at 10:00PM. If anything I usually catch my mistakes the very next day. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and we've definitely been having unprotected intercourse for the last three years. Now I'm here two months later at the end of June, and I'm literally terrified that I could be pregnant. I've had no period at all, only mild in and out cramping, but yet my body doesn't feel any different. I haven't noticed any color changes, food aversions, dizziness or nausea. I should have another period in 7-8 days. I see where people have gone months on this pill without but I'm still really scared.
Ladies I am a stress FREAK like it is insane however, reading these replies helped ease me! I have been on lolo birth control for just over a year, and after about 5 months my period stopped COMPLETELY! Ever month I dont get it I panic, but due to there only being 2 actual sugar pills this is why most womans periods will stop, it is scary but it is normal! Just avoid missing pills at all costs.
I started this pill this month and suppose to get my
Pill yesterday. Now it's Friday and I am a day late so I think I will miss mine and my doctor said it's normal and most women experience no periods at all but it still concerns me
My doctors instructions were to "start the pills on the Sunday after your period starts", but my period started on a Sunday, so do I start taking them (for the 1st time) that day - the same day my period started?
Hi! So this past month I forgot to take a blue pill on my second week of blue pills but I took it the next day with my regular pill. I did not get any breakthrough bleeding but I did have unprotected intercourse a few days later. On the Lo Loestrin website, it says if you miss one pill you simply just take it when you remember along with the pill you are supposed to take that day and you do not need to use back-up birth control. I finished the pack and never got my period, and now have started my new pack. Could I be pregnant?
Yes, I've been on this drug for almost three years. Never had a period. It's normal. I talked to my doctor many times and they have ensured me that due to the 28 say cycle and only two days of no hormones, its not enough to trigger a period of you continued to take the pills.
Re: Jane (# 5)
Im with you Jane, I haven't had my period in over 11 months on this pill! Nothing! I will say around month 9 I started getting horrible cystic acne :(
I am 56 and still fertile. Have been in lo Loestrin de don over a year with no monthly periods
Re: kelsey (# 3)
Im on my second month as well and experiencing the same thing but I still use condoms as well because I freak out. I have been calling my doctor about this as well. Doctor says it is absolutely normal. Some women do not get a period at all.
Re: RJ (# 11)
I have never had my period since starting this pill. I have unprotected sex with my boyfriend a few times a month and no pregnancy. Is say I've been on this pill over 6 months, close to 12.
I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe since August of 2016. I have taken it everyday around the hour I am supposed to (I have forgotten my pack at home while at work sometimes, resulting in me taking it at a later time). I didn't get my period in August of 2017, and that was the first one I have ever skipped. Naturally, I panicked but got my period the next month. This month, I have been having cramps for the past two days but my period has yet to come. I'm supposed to start my new pack tonight, so I will unlikely get my period this month. My boyfriend and I do not use condoms, but use the pull-out method and my pill instead. We do not have intercourse very frequently. Should I be freaking out if I have cramps but no period?
So jan 2017 I got paragaurd put in. I’m a single mom and was sure I didn’t want more kids until I was seriously committed or married. Well it made me heavily bleed for over a month straight until I went anemic. This same time I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and prescribed Lo Loestrin fe as I had only ever been on bc one other time 11 years ago and it made me suicidal so my dr said Lo Loestrin fe was a Low hormone dose bc. I started taking it in March 2017. The first couple months it made me depressed but not suicidal and I knew it might happen so I told my family and friends to be aware if I started to act weird. I had regular periods that lasted two days. Since going vegan my periods were already shorter and lighter, usually five days. I liked being able to know exactly when I my period would be with birth control. Well, in September I didn’t get a period but I took a test and it was negative so I figured it was from the bc. Then in October I got two heavier, longer periods. No period in nov or dec so I went to the dr because the site says more than one missed period, see your dr. I got blood work done and it was negative. I stopped taking the bc in January because I don’t like not having a period. Well it’s been four weeks and still no period.
My question is: has anyone stopped taking Lo Loestrin fe? And how long after did you period return? I did sleep with the guy I was seeing less than two weeks before the blood test. I took the pills almost every day but never at the same exact time. Usually sometimes in the morning. Is it crazy of me to think that I could be pregnant and the test didn’t read it because the hcg levels weren’t high enough yet? Or is it this bc playing games w me again? Lol
Re: Erin (# 373)
I would take a test if you are worried. Cramps could be from the bc or pregnancy. It sounds like you are careful so it’s most likely just the birth control but a test may ease your mind.
Re: CubbieFan (# 321)
I am 46... been in perimenopause since 33. I have an enlarged uterus(about the size of a 3-4month pregnancy) and I had a wonderful 3 day , very few symptoms period throughout my life til I turned 40 and my period was so heavy for 2 days, I couldn't leave my house. The Dr put me on Lolo because I wasn't ready for a hysterectomy. It's been almost 3 years period free, I love it! But I do take the all of pills consistently everyday, still without a period. It's so freeing after the extremely heavy bleeding I was experiencing. I do take a pregnancy test every 3ish months, depending on how much "activity" I enjoy lol. Just for my own peace of mind. Other than some cramping every once in a while about 5 days into the blue pills, its been all good!
Re: Kelli (# 372)
Hi im on the same boat no perriod for 5 months did you ever get a period
Re: Verwon (# 1)
I been taking Loestrin FE everyday at the same time never missed a dose for PCOS and ended up pregnant.
Ive been taking lo loestrin fe since Nov. 2017. Dec2017 I had a shorter/ much lighter period. Jan-April 2018, no more periods.
I have been having random moments of nausea, sometimes before eating, sometimes after.
Headaches, weight gain (despite my activity level staying the same, slightly increasing hoping to balance the gain out).
I am consistent with taking my pills, have not missed any. but without periods and with these symptoms that are similar to pregnancy symptoms, I've been taking monthly pregnancy tests to ease my mind. active, but sex is usually protected.
My DR says I should be fine since no pills have been missed, but better finding out sooner than later?
