Liver Cancer And Morphine

My best friend is in stage 4 liver cancer. The doctor has her on 125 ml of morphine. She has a patch containing morphine and pills with morphine. She doesn't say much about her pain. Does anyone know if this dose of morphine is strong?I know she is never without pain.

Well, you didn't state the dosages of everything she is using, however, as long as she is being medically monitored on a regular basis, by her doctor, then there should not be a problem.

There have been some in-depth studies done about the use of narcotics for people will severe illnesses and whether or not high doses of them had a detrimental effect and/or hastened death and they found no connection.

As long as the person's dosage has been gradually increased, as needed, over time, then the body quickly adjusts to the levels of narcotics. The only time there is a problem or risk of overdosage is when someone abruptly jumps the dosage.
