white pill ## What does 20/12.5 mg mean? ## The pill you have is Lisinopril (20 mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg). If so, pills with score lines are generally made to be cut in half. I believe there is a Lisinopril 10 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 7.5 mg combination in which case I personally would feel content ...
I have been taking Sandoz lisinopril 40mg oval pink pill for many years imprinted with E104 and my BP has been stable. Now the pharmacy changed it to the round lisinopril 40mg pink pill imprinted with same E104. My blood pressure is not being maintained now it fluctuates all over the place. I take it daily. Are there different fillers or inactive ingredients that is not agreeing with my system? I am a registered nurse so I know this is not the norm. ## Hello, Veletta! How are you? Actually, fluctuations are normal and you should see them, especially if you have caffeine, engage in physical activity or etc. For instance, if you're working and on your feet all day, it should be slightly higher than it is later, when you're home and at rest. This is true for any active person. The ...
Did TEVA have to recall their Lisinopril tablets peach COLORED, ROUND, imprinted with E104 in 2018? Also I had a side effect of not being able to wake up in the morning, even with the use of my Adderall, I'd still go back to sleep! Now taking amlodipine but it's not helping my BP. Any help is appreciated! ## Have you tried Nifedipine? Works very well for me, after years of trying other medications. ## Thx for your idea. I will read about that med. Now I'll have knowledge about the med you suggested when I see my doc next visit. That's 3 HBP meds down, and a zillion more to be a guinea pig for. UGH!! ## Hello Tae, According to the FDA drug recall website Teva has only recalled their Valsartan and Valsartan Hydrochlorothiazide tablets this year. If you ever need to look up...
What is a round, pink tablet with A on one side and 26 on other side? ## The pill you have is Lisinopril (10 mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg). These two drugs are respectively a combination of a diuretic and an ACE inhibitor, to control hypertension. You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... Hope this helps! ## I have been taking 20 mg lisinopril, 1 daily for several years. Recently (one month) Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg has been added 1 daily. For unknown reason my Dr. has combined both medicines into one pill a day however when I picked up the Rx at the pharmacy the lisinopril has been reduced to 10mg plus Hctz 12.5 Hydrochlorothiazide. I am concerned about the reduction of 10 mg of lisinopril. And dropping the dosage of lisinopril ## 1. How ...
How long does it take for a low dose of lisinopril to start lowering blood pressure? ## According to drug information from Gold Standard Inc. 2011, Lisinopril starts working within an hour of taking it by mouth. The peak effect occurs at 6 hours after taking the pill. Other patients state that it should make a difference to your blood pressure in about 2 days time, based on their personal experience. Although I'm sure it may be somewhat different for everyone. I hope this helps to answer your question! ## I was told by an ER Doc and a my blood doctor that I could take lisinopril on an as needed basis have you ever known of this. My blood pressure gets high while menstruating and a few days after but the rest of the time my bp is normal ## I take lisinopril and amlodiprine for blood ...
My renewed generic prescription Lisinopril/hydrochlorothiazide 10-12.5 is now coming from a different manufacturer (pharmacist verified) than my original (pinkish pill) from Aurobindo. The new blue pill, manufactured by Westward, is not the same in effects. Does anyone know what pharmacies (Target and Walmart don't carry it) carry the same medication but manufactured by Aurobindo? Thank you ## Maybe my question should be when generic prescriptions switch manufacturers, are the ingredients EXACTLY the same? If so, why is a medication I have taken successfully for 4 years with no side effects suddenly begin to make me ffell lethargic and starting hair loss within 3 weeks of starting the same "everything" but from a different manufacturer? Has anyone else experienced that maybe...
I have been on Lesinopril 20mg for a little over a year now. I just stopped taking it 4 days ago, trying to go natural on keeping my BP down. the first day I just did yoga each day, ate low calorie food as roasted veggies, and drank smoothies. My daily drinks consisted of Pomegranate juice and a spoon apple cider vinegar diluted with a cup of water. My average BP for the last 3 days was 121/78. Today I started having a severe headache, blurry vision and body ache in general. Is this common when you stop Lisinopril? While I do believe that I can keep my BP down naturally I am suspicious of the side effect of getting rid of this pill.. ## Hello, Rich! How are you? Yes, that can happen, if you suddenly stop such a medication, rather than tapering off of it, as reported by the FDA. You may ...
I take lisinopril once a day at 9am. By mistake, I took it last night at about 1 am. Should I miss taking it for the rest of the day? ## What dosage do you take? While it is always best to double check with your doctor, the FDA usually instructs you to skip the next dose, then just resume your normal dosing schedule. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. ## I take losartan 50mg at noon, I notice it takes at least 6 hrs. before I get a good reading. If I cut the tablet in half and took both halves, would it maybe kick in a bit faster. Seems to have a coating on the pill. ## I'm taking lisinopril 10mg during the day and my readings are perfect, but after 4 or 5 my blood pressure goes up to 150/90 or...
I have taken amlodipine and lisinopril for a few years. I recently got a staff infection and my Dr prescribed bactrim. I have heard not to take bactrim with lisinopril. Is this true? ## Hello Sally, You are absolutely right! Lisinopril has been reported to have a negative interraction with trimethoprim (Bactrim). These medications used together may increase the potassium levels in your blood which in turn can develop into Hyperkalemia. In severe cases this can lead to kidney failure, muscle pralysis, irregular heart rhythm and cardiac arrest. You are more likely to develop hyperkalemia if you are elderly, dehydrated, have a kidney disease, diabetes or if you are receiving Bactrim for long periods of time. Reportedly it is important that you maintain adequate fluid intake during the time...
corea ## I'VE BEEN ON HIGH BLOOD MED'S FOR A YEAR OR SO. STARTED ON LISINOPRIL 10 AND WAS OK. WHEN IT WAS DOUBLED, I HAD A REACTION. DOC CHANGED MED'S FOUR TIMES AND HAVE THE SAME REACTION. ITCHING BROUGHT ON BY HEAT. CAN'T TAKE A HOT SHOWER, WORK UP A SWEAT, GET IN THE SUN. HAS ANY BODY ELSE HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS? ## Cal, that can be a common side effect of some blood pressure medications, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. I experience, sometimes, myself, and it is very annoying. I hate it. I am even on one that causes my scalp to itch, and tingle in the heat. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

My mother's pills fell out of their bottle. I found one in there that says h146. I can't identify so far. Her bottle says Lisinopril. ## Hello, Jan! How are you? Yes, there is a tablet with this marking that is manufactured by Solco Healthcare and they list it as containing 10mgs of Lisinopril, which is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So, does Lisinopril marked with H146 contain hydrochlorothiazide as well? Is it a diuretic that would make you urinate more frequently?
Has Lisinopril made anyone hungrier or made you gain weight? I am also getting terrible cramps in my legs. I started taking Potassium on my own to stop this pain. Any advice? ## Hello, Madeline! How are you doing? Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, according to FDA warnings, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Have you informed your medical provider of these issues? There are others you can try, which may not cause you the same problematic side effects. ## Lisinopril caused leg cramps and a cough. I got off of it after several months. ## Madeline, I've been on a 5 mg dose of Lisinopril for about 3 months. I did research at the manufacturer's site and found that Lisinopril causes retention of Potassium and tha...

I have taker many B med. and this was one that was a match for me with fewer side effects. I can not find this pill online. It's round, light blue, with a large "M" on 1 side and "L 26" on the other. It's supposed to be 40 mg lisinopril. ## Hi Chuck, I located a match and I think the reason why you may have had trouble finding information is because the pill is actually depicted as being light green instead of light blue. Imprint: Capital "M" on one side and "L" over "26" on the back Manufacturer: Mylan Pharmaceuticals Active Ingredient: Lisinopril 40 mg Size: 8mm NDC: 60429-212 (0378-2076) Inactive Ingredients: -Silicon Dioxide -Croscarmellose Sodium -Calcium Phosphate, Dibasic, Dihydrate -Magnesium Stearate -Mannitol -Povidones -Starch, Corn -Sodium Lauryl Sulfate -Fd&c Blue No. 2 -D&c Yellow No. 10 Hope this helps!
Can I test false positive on a 5 panel test while taking lisinopril-hctz 20mg? Will I test positive for UTF8, opiates, benzodiazepine, cocaine, pcp? ## I was wondering, could i test positive in a hair follicle test for cocaine from taking Lisinopril?
A round white pill 28th NT on One side and a check Mark on the other side ## Hi Chuck, Does the check mark happen to look anything like a cursive or italicized "V"? I know that Qualitest (formerly Vintage Pharmaceuticals) produces products that carry this type of logo, which is what had me curious about your pill... Also, where did you get it from if you don't mind my asking? A pill's origin (whether it be from the internet, an old pharmacy script, found on the sidewalk, etc) may say a lot about its integrity and how much you can probably trust it to be anything of significance. This leads me to my next thought which if possible would be to have it analyzed by a lab as a last resort, if you felt like someone's safety might've been in jeopardy due to this unknown ...
I've been taking lisinopril 20 mg twice daily for several years, filling it through Walmart Mail-Order whose supplier is Lupin Pharmaceuticals. The pills have always been pink and the same size until my most recent refill, when the size is now half of what it was previously, about the same as the hydroclorothiazide (HCTZ) 25 mg pill I take as well. Although the latter is pale peach in color while the former is pink, both pills are round in shape and the similarity between the two is quite problematic, especially for seniors like myself or anyone with poor vision, particularly when trying to distinguish between them in low light. Apparently pharmaceutical companies are legally allowed to change a pill size without FDC permission and with no requirement to advise customers of the chan...
I take 10 miligram Lupin tables - have been taking them 2x a day for 20 years. Today, I opened the bottle and they were 1/2 the size. Same markings on the pill and container, same color, same manufacturer but 1/2 the size. I asked the pharmacy assistant about it and she said the company was making them smaller but they were the same. I asked how they were doing that - were they removing fillers? Why did they have so many fillers in the first place. She said she didn't know, but would transfer me to the pharmacist. I asked the pharmacist and she sounded like she had been asked what the weather would be like the next day - "oh, I don't know...yeah...I don't really know." I don't feel comfortable taking these. ## Yes, in most cases they have changed the fillers they...
