I have been taking Lisinopril 40Mg daily for six months. Two months ago I began to have plugged nasel passage with no pain or pressure. The feeling I have is that my throat and nasel passage is extremely dry and it feels like I need to expel mucus from my nose, but there is none. I have been given two rounds of antibiotics, nasel spray and have tried every OTC decongestion and antihistamine, but none of these remedy my problem. Constantly trying to clear what feels like dried mucus and this does nothing but make my throat sore. Have also tried steam, nasel rinses and any home remedy to correct this. Now my ears feel plugged so I have had enough. Have any of you had this experience? Only dry caugh is when I am trying to clear my dry nasel passage. Not painful, but extremely irritating!

Hello, Map! How are you?

These are listed by the FDA as possible side effects of Lisinopril, you may also experience headache, nausea, dizziness, increased urination and hypotension.

Generally, I've found that the only solution, when this happens to someone, is to change medications. These side effects don't tend to wear off, as many others do.

Have you spoken to your doctor about trying a different medication?
