Someone told me this is made from snake venom, is that true? Is that how the blood pressure is reduced?

Is Lisinopril made from snake venom? I have been told that that is where it came from.

This is an interesting question that I would like to find out more information on as well...

Based on my research, Lisinopril is reportedly a "synthetic peptide derivative" - which from what I understand, has the properties of a long-acting angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

It's chemical description is listed as follows: (S)-1-[N2-(1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl)-L-lysyl]-L-proline dihydrate

If you have a specific drug manufacturer in mind who makes Lisinopril or other blood pressure medications, perhaps it would be best to contact them directly for more specific details.
