Lisinopril And Alcohol

I was recently put on Lisinopril 10 mg, and seem to be doing fine with no side effects. I like to have drinks socially a couple of times a month and was wondering if this would still be ok, I have several friends who seem to do fine on this medication.

Drinking while taking this medication could exacerbate the side effects, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness and drowsiness than usual, as reported by the FDA.

Additionally, moderate drinking can actually lower your blood pressure, so you could end up with readings lower than are good for you.

However, if your doctor approves of you indulging occasionally, please just make sure you won't be driving or operating any dangerous machinery afterwards.

Is there anything else I can help with?
