Hi Shirley,

Is there a score line (indent) on the pill? If there is, then it is there specifically for the purpose of cutting the pill in half. Whether or not there is a score line, I would still cut the pill in half if needed. Maybe talk to your doctor about getting a lower dose of this medication if you consistently feel the need to use half a dose.

NOTE: cutting a pill in half only works if the pill is in tablet form. This just wouldn't work if it is a capsule, since the contents would fall out.
