Lexapro And The Bad Side Effects
UpdatedI just recently decided to try Lexapro 10mg nine days ago. My OBGYN recommended this for me to try if I wanted to because for 2 weeks out of every month before my period my hormones are completely out of it. I'm an emotional roller coaster. So, I thought what could it hurt to try. My experience has been awful with Lexapro. The very first day of taking it, I could not sleep, I felt very sick to my stomach. Second day.....still sick to my stomach, couldn't sleep and ringing in my ears. By the 4th day on this med all the side effects above including feeling like I have to bite down hard, grinding of the teeth, and cannot climax when me and my husband are having intercourse. Me and my husband are extremely intimately active with each other (5x a week) It's awful in my opinion. Anyways, I decided to just stop taking this on the 8th day and I still feel bad, sick to my stomach, can't sleep, grinding of the teeth, legs feel restless, heart palpatations and still can not climax. It's like I am completely numb down there. I feel awful!!! Does anybody know usually when these feeling go away?

Hello, Bethie! How are you?
Unfortunately, the side effect of causing an issue climaxing usually doesn't go away, as long as you're taking this medication.
A better one to try would be Prozac/Fluoxetine, it has been shown to help PMS symptoms at a very low dose and to cause far fewer side effects. It's most common ones include headache, irritability and weight loss, all of which for me wore off after just a month. You may want to ask your doctor about trying it.
Is there anything else I can help with?
it can take t least 6 week to work, and in that time you will feel worse than you started , you have a med going in your brain . if you cannot stand the start up don't take it your not ill enough
