Lexamil Weight Gain

What can I do to prevent weight gain while using Lexamil? I am also taking birth control which adds to the possibility of gaining weight.

Lexamil contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and it isn't known to cause significant weight gain. Compared to taking an oral contraceptive, you are more liable to gain weight from the birth control, rather than the Lexamil.

However, you can help keep any changes, from either medication, under control by watching your diet to make sure you aren't eating far more than you should, stick with lower fat foods and get plenty of exercise.
