Lexamil 10

My husband is on lexamil 20mg, one a day.. He sufferp from nightmares, can this be a side effect.

Lexamil contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and yes, nightmares are possible with virtually any medication like this that works on brain chemicals.

If there are severe enough to be interfering with his ability to sleep normally, then he should consult with his doctor, as it may not be the right medication for him to use and he may need to try something else.
