I've been taking Levaquin for about five days now for a sinus infection and it is not working at all. I took one at 1:00 today. How many hours do I have to wait to switch to a Clindamycin or an Amoxicillin?

Hi Ann,
Sorry to hear about your situation. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Levaquin, Clindamycin or Amoxicillin. That said, I'm of the theoretical opinion that you shouldn't have to wait at all...
This finding does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist. However, if in doubt, your best bet would probably be to contact your prescribing doctor and/or local pharmacist just to be on the safe side.
