Length Of Time I Should Wait To Take Suboxone After Methadone?

I was on Methadone for two years 70 mg. I tapered off and switched to subs. I was told to wait 3-4 days to take it. Well the 2nd day I had a 100 mcg patch. I cut it into 8 pieces and took a piece the last 6 days. Today is Friday, I took a last piece yesterday around 2 pm, so its been roughly 20 hours. How long do I have to wait to take my Suboxone? I did the COW chart & my score is above 15 like they recommend but I'm scared to go into PW.

If you were told to wait 3 to 4 days to take it, then you should follow your doctor's instructions for the best results. You need to be in full withdrawals, before you can take it and avoid dangerous PW. And it should be 3 to 4 days, without taking any other opiates.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
