I was prescribed Lactobacillus for fighting an infection and need more info on this product.

Lactobacillus is a genus of Gram-positive facultative anaerobic or microaerophilic bacteria. It inhibits the growth of some harmful bacteria by production of lactic acid. In simple terms that's the best I can explain it.
