UpdatedWhat are the side effects of cockscomb injections

Hi Lee,
Regarding possible side effects, I couldn't locate much information on Cockscombs other than what is listed below:
"Cockscombs are used to produce Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally occurring substance in human body. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is present is synovial fluid that lubricates joints and helps the joints to move easily over each other. Patients with osteoarthritis have decreased amount of Hyaluronic acid (HA). This treatment is known as viscosupplementation in which Hyaluronic acid is injected into body. It can have several side effects such as pain and swelling at site of injection. This treatment is not effective in every patient. You must consult with your doctor and discuss your probabilities."

One other source I located affirms that the above information is correct. And that there really aren't any other side effects except what you see and feel at the injection site.
I hope this information helps!
I am wondering if Cockscomb injections can be used in a wrist with OA and psoriatic arthritis? I have just seen reference to knees.
