How many mg are in one KlorCon m20 tablet?

I have Klor-Con M20 with an expiration date of 8/4/17 - Would these still be ok to take or have they lost their strength? They were issued on 8/14/16.

I have some Klor-con M20 tablets and they are about 4 years old. Will it be safe for me to take them? They have been in the bottle in a dark place just about the whole time.

Klor tablets should never be ground up or split. They are a timed release tablet. When broken too much potassium is released at one time.
Tell your doctor to per scribe the capsule form, they are easier to take than the tablet.

My pharmacist said I could put them in a small amount of water and let it dissolve, then I mix it with a little juice and wash it down, it works for me and my potassium levels are good when I have my blood work done.

My throat has been swollen and haven't been able to takes Klor Conn the grinding it rates my throat any suggests

I had same problem. Per my DRs prescription I grind it up, dump it in my mouth and take big gulp of water. It doesn't taste that bad. Dr also suggested mixing it with applesauce or yogurt. But I would rather gulp down with water and then have bite of something. I use a mortar and pestle to grind up the tablet.

I have been taking Klor-Con M20 for several years. It is extremely hard to swallow. More like swallowing a golf ball covered with sand. I searched the internet for a gelcap that I could buy to replace the Klor-Con, but could find nothing. Anyone have an answer?

How many miligrams or grams are in Klor-con m20? I have extremely low potassium and have to take 3 per day, I am taking too much? I do not have eat very many foods with potassium so I am not sure.

Klorcon M20 has 20 mEq. Klorcon generic name is potassium chloride.
