Klonopin 1mg Thre Times A Day

I started taking Klonopin 2 months ago. started on .5 mg now up to 1mg three times a day. it seems every time I see my doc he wants to up it because he's worrying about tolerance. I see him every 5-6 weeks. I don't want to be upped every few weeks. Anyone else having this issue? I didnt feel like i was going through withdrawl or anything. I feel like I could sleep all day.

Please, Please educate yourself before take any benzodiazepine, I was perscribed Klonopin for restless leg syndrome, at first for about 8 months I took .5mg then I became tolertant to it and took 1 mg within 2 years I was up to 2mgs. It IS highly addictive and very hard to come off of it, I had to do it very slowly, I started to come off last 2/2012, I took my last dose 11/2012 today I am still suffering because I have post withdrawel symptoms, I have not been able to work since last February. Yes I did, he said it was up to me. I've been on it such a short time it kinda freaked me out....he's worrying about withdraw'ls already?! Yikes! He wants me to take one every 6 hours. Hopefully next appointment he'll say I'm fine where I'm at. I'm on it for panic, is this a "normal" dose? 3mg.

That really doesn't make any sense. While tolerance is an issue with any medication, there's no way to know when it may happen for any specific person. It could take months or years.

And usually an adjustment isn't made to the relevant medication, until signs start to appear that show that it is no longer working for them.

Have you tried talking to them about it and telling them you don't want to change the dosage yet?
