Ketostat Cream

A few months back I spranged my right ankle and my doc gave me a topical cream called Ketostat. He didn't write a prescription for it; just gave it to me during an office visit. I'm now wondering if I can get it from a drugstore or if I need a prescription for it. It worked wonders for my right ankle and now I have a broken left ankle and feel it will do just as well. I'd appreciate any information. THANKS!!!

My ortho doc had to write a prescription for ketostat, and send it to a pharmacy that compounds. hope this information is helpful!
