Ketoprofen Discontinued?

Hi, I've been taking 75mg Ketoprofen with One 50 mg Tramadol for quite some time for back and knee pain, once or twice a day with pretty good results. I just tried getting my Ketoprofen refilled at Sam's Club, and was told the're not making it any more, and the pharmacist called Walmart and they had none either. Does anyone know if ALL makers of ketoprofen have stopped, or just the brand name Companies? No other nsaid works nearly as well, so my fingers are crossed!

Hi Rick,

Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I could gather, Ketoprofen's other trade names (Nexcede, Orudis, Oruvail, Actron) are all reported to be discontinued brands. However, I haven't come across any official announcements confirming that Ketoprofen itself has been taken off the market. With that said, it might be a good idea to double check with a couple other pharmacies in your local area just to see if they have any additional inside information on generic Ketoprofen's current and future availability. Another brand of Ketoprofen that I have yet to confirm, goes by the name of "Ketocid" which might be worth looking into as well.
