Keflex For Anal Fissure Infection

My wife has an ongoing anal fissure since giving birth but recently it has become infected. We have an unfulfilled KEFLEX script and I was wondering if this would work for this type of infection. Thanks in advance

It really depends on the severity of the infection and the type of bacteria that has caused it, so she should take whatever antibiotic her doctor deems appropriate.

The NIH lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
