Kapidex Drug Interactions Or Side Effects?

Had ONE dose of Kapidex this morning. Never had one before. One hour later I started with severe aching all over, diahrrea, an echoing rattling in my head (yes, I've already done about as many jokes about that as I can think of :-) ) a really bad headache, dizziness, nausea, and muscles feel tight. Other than that I'm fine!!! Could this be the result of drug interaction--I take about seven antidepressants, plus meds for Crohn's Disease. Or--are these complaints just side effects? It's an elongated, small turquoise capsule.

I talked with the gastroenterologist on call. He told me not to take it anymore. Too many side effects that didn't make sense. Being a Saturday, the doctor suggested to check with my regular doctor next Monday. The two main things that especially worry me are the echoing in my head and the diarrhea in relation to my Crohn's Disease. Too many unanswered questions.

Kapidex contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, it is normally used to treat conditions such as heartburn and GERD.

As to the effects you are having, it is hard to say what is causing it and I cannot check for possible interactions, without knowing the name of the other medications you are on.

The diarrhea can be a normal side effect of it though, along with gas and nausea.
