Took Kapidex sample for ten days had spots all over my shoulder leaving permanent marks. Is this a common side effect of Kapidex?

I was on Kapidex for about a week. I was having severe stomach pains, diarrhea, bloody stool, fatigue, etc. I never had a rash like others did. I ended up at my family doctor, who had never heard of Dexilant/Kapidex. We found a flier in a sample and he read it, immediately took me off the meds and ordered a stomach scope. I was put on it for silent reflux. I felt worse on the med.

About two weeks after starting Kapidex I started having sharp chest pains. I had a stress test done, yet everything came out fine. The MD, and my mother, who is a FNP, eventually deduced that it was esophageal spasms caused by the Kapidex, although we really don't know why. What narrowed it was that drinking something cold usually made it subside. It was pretty much right behind the upper part of my sternum. Sometimes it would radiate upward, also. Anyway, I hope this may help someone. This was last spring, by the way. I now use Nexium, and samples from the Doctor's office at that.

I took One Kapidex and few hours later I started to have rashes and been itching now for the past 48 hours after I took the pill. The itching is nonstop and even benadryl pills and cream did not work. Stupid Japanese Pharmaceutical Company should be banned in the US.

I took Kapidex for 6 months and in that time i had a myriad of symptoms. I had to see 5 different doctors because i was trying to figure out what was causing each of my symptoms. Finally my GI doctor told me I was having a severe allergic reaction and to stop taking Kapidex.Within a couple days all of my symptoms went away except one.Within a week I was in the hospital having my gallbladder removed. Kapidex was the only medication I was on. My symptoms were anemia,vertigo, ear pain,vision changes, impaired gastric empying,vomiting, asthenia,sinusitis, arthralgia, respiratory tract congestion, extremely high bloob pressure,constant coughing,vivid dreams,and upper extremity skin pain.The only symptom that remains is joint pain that seems to go from one joint to another.I am now seeing a rheumatologist to get some kind of treatment for the pain. Before Kapidex I was a healthy person my only problem was GERD.
