Kadian 100 Mg 2 Times A Day Vs. 20 Mg Opana 3 Times A Day.

I was on 100 mg of Kadian twice a day for 7 years and got switched to 20 mg of Opana three times of day. Also, I was on 15 mg of Morphine 4 times a day and was switched to 4 mg of dialudid 4 times a day. I want to know if these dosages are equal to my old medicine dosages.

I don't believe these are equivalent dosages, more over because Morphine is the active ingredient in Kadian. In which case you had taken 100mg twice a day (200mg/day) and later dropped down to 15mg four times a day (60mg/day). That's a pretty significant difference in and of itself, not taking into consideration the Opana or Dilaudid fixtures.

As far as Opana (Oxymorphone) and Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) goes, these are two different drugs with different levels of potency/pain relief, so cross-comparing the two drugs based on dosage would not be appropriate for each individual, since everyone reacts differently.

hello, can you please advise on what might be better for me..?? I just started on oxcycontin,15mg ER 2 per day...this really doesn't do anything for me...do you think opana or morphine might work better? I know you cannot say for sure, just looking for your opinion...thanks, HOUSE
