Jogging For Artheritis Patients

I have Artheritis on my left knee, I would like to know whether it is ok to go jogging everyday?

I have Artheritis for the four years on my left knee and left elbow. Whenever I climb stairs I get severe pain. But I feel I have gained weight. Few days back I check my weight and it says 59kgs. I am 5'2" and 47 years of age. I want to start jogging everyday but I am scared that I will get my pains.
