Jardiance And Insulin Pump

Hi, I'm on an insulin pump gained weight , can I use Jardiance with an insulin pump? My doctor put me in samples of Sanjardy and gave me a script. Insurance won't pay for it, but will pay for Jardiance. Since the pump delivers insulin automatically through out the day is it safe

It is usually best to follow your doctor's instructions. The dosage in your pump can always be adjusted, if necessary.

The FDA warns that these medications may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.

I have an insulin pump and have been on 10mg for about a month with the need to adjust my basal down on my pump and cut my night time bolus in half. Just started taking 20mg (until they run out then I’ll take 25mg) with an additional need to reduce my basal and both lunch and night time bolus. I check for ketones every morning, drink a ton & pee every 1-2 hours. Weight loss of 6 pounds after 6 weeks but most of that has come since the change to 20mg
