Week 2, I started spotting lightly. Then it got worse. Would start spotting n have heavy bleeding every time I had intercourse with my husband. Had the implant removed today. Phew! My upper arm is quite itchy, around the area of the incision. Other than that, looking forward to making a full recovery n some medical exams around the pelvic area to make sure all is A OK. Wouldn't recommen Jadelle to anyone ## Wow! I'm very sorry about the bad experience you had with it. Though you've had it removed, it could take a few months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own. So, you may still experience some menstrual irregularities for awhile. Have you ever jus...

If your primary doctor is out of town, there's really no reason why you shouldn't be able to have it removed by someone else who is also qualified: Bvuma, Eton T (Practitioner) - Gynaecologist & Obstetrician Location: Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa. 1 REPLY UpdatedHi I Have Had The Jadelle In Since December 2012 Never Any Problems Until A Week Ago Got Crazy Bleeding Really Itchy Arm Where Been Placed My Also Found Lump On Like Doc Put Me Tranexamic Acid To Slow Down And It Stopped Straight Away But Now Im Lot Of Pain Back Heading Towards Neck Making Dead That Hurts When Breathe Shocks Sharp Through Anyone Else This ## Hi Poodle, Sorry to hear about the complications you've been facing with Jadelle implants. From what I've read, it's certainly not uncommon for people to experience these kinds of side effects on any type of medication that effects the hormones. In my opinion after reading your description, it sounds like it may be a good idea to start considering other alternatives to Jadelle. At least for long term safety. If you end u...
1 REPLY UpdatedHie i have got jaddele for over a year have been going on menstrution for 8mnth what it removed where must l go im in capetown thank u ## Hi blesssy, Jadelle (levonorgestrel) implants are said to be inserted and removed by a minor surgical procedure at your healthcare provider's office. So you would essentially have to have a doctor or gynecologist in cape town remove them for you no matter where you ended up going. From what I've read, removing Jadelle implants could take longer than insertion and may be more difficult and/or cause more pain, especially if the implants are difficult to locate. Occasionally, additional incisions and/or office visits are required, depending on the situation. Hopefully this info helps to answer your question. Would you say that the experiences you...
1 REPLY UpdatedHi. Where can I get Jadelle implant removed in Nelspruit? ## Hi Elmash, Although I'm not familiar with your location, my findings state that are there plenty of gynecologists and other health-care providers within that region who should be more than qualified enough to remove a Jadelle implant. Similarly to the insertion procedure, your health-care provider should numb the area with a local anesthetic. Under sterile conditions, a small (1/8 inch) incision will be made through which the implants should be removed. From what I've read, the removal process is said to take more time than the insertion procedure, because If the implants are too deep, they can end up being more difficult to remove. In the event that both implants cannot be removed, additional visits and incisions may ...
1 REPLY UpdatedI had a jadelle now for a year plus, with several changes in my flow of mensuration, and now feel pains on my breast and nipples. ## What you're experiencing is actually one of the most common side effects of most hormonal contraceptives. So in my honest opinion, it's nothing to be overly concerned about. However if the side effects become too bothersome or severe, I would encourage you to contact a gynecologist at your earliest convenience for advice on balancing your hormones, by adjusting the dose or through other more natural means. The breast soreness/pain is directly related to a fluctuation in hormone levels, so finding closer balance is essential to lessening the severity of these symptoms. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Jadelle Details I hope this in...
2 REPLIES UpdatedWhen taking antibiotics will itle affect the contraception released by the jadelle implant? And if so,how long does it last for? ## @wombat, I ran a check to see if Jadelle (Levonorgestrel) interacts with an antibiotic like Amoxicillin, but none were listed between the two. It may just be that it reacts with some antibiotics and not others. However the only way to know for sure would be to have a name for the medication you're referring to, as there are many different types of them to choose from. Is there a specific type of antibiotic that you plan on taking? ## Ive been on a course of fluoxitide i think thats what it is called. Thank you for your comment :) wouldn't want any mishappenings
2 REPLIES UpdatedI have been taking Jadelle for about 6month now,i lose alot of weight, yea and also irregular mens, for us woman we very particular with things, I don't like what Jadelle has done for me, will have it removed... ## Yes, we are very particular. I am sorry that you have suffered such issues and yes, if the Jadelle has caused it, then you should explore your other options. Losing weight on it is very unusual, though, because hormonal contraceptives usually cause the opposite problem. Learn more Jadelle details here. How soon will you be able to have it removed? ## pliz just tell me how can I regain my weight when jadelle allready taken most of my weight.
2 REPLIES Updatedhow do i get the jadelle implants removed and why do i have 2 of them when every1 else i have talked to only have 1 and dont understand why i have 2 ## You would have to have a doctor remove them for you. And there actually should be 2, if someone only has one theirs was not done properly, or they just may not realize that they actually have 2 of them. Learn more Jadelle details here. I'm just curious, but why do you want them removed?
1 REPLY UpdatedIts been 2 months since i have had my jadelle put in and i havent had my period!? I havent had any other odd effects yet... I cant be pregnant because i had a test before i got the jadelle and it was negative. I havent had test now. Is this normal?? ## It is still a hormonal based contraceptive, so yes, it can be normal to skip your menstrual cycle or to experience irregularities. Learn more Jadelle details here. However, if you're concerned, then by all means take a pregnancy test, or consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?
