Does anyone know if Marijuana use can affect the Jadelle implant and its effectiveness? I have recently become bloated and have been having stomach cramps and headaches, and I'm scared I could be pregnant, even though I have the Jadelle implant in my arm.

No, it hasn't been known to reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives, though it can put you at the same risk as you would have if you smoked cigarettes.

It is a hormonal based contraceptive, so you may just be experiencing some side effects. But have you taken any medications recently, such as antibiotics?

I have been using jadelle for the past five years. Last month on the 19th it expired but i still have it in my hand. I had my periods in october 2016 till its expiry date but have never seen my periods since. I am not having intercourse at all, so I cant be pregnant, but am worried if i will have my periods. If I do, will it cause any harm to my hand since it might be awhile longer before i remove it? For how long should i wait for my periods?

Just got Jadelle done in my arm last week and I was wondering when I could have sex? On some sites it says to wait for a week, but I'm not entirely sure. I got the Jadelle done around a week-ish after I finished my period. I've had no complications/side effects with the Jadelle implant so far.
