Januvia Is The Best Medication For Me
UpdatedI have been type 2, for 10 years, 3 years ago I was put on Sitagliptin, then last year on Invokana, lost weight and also lowered sugar numbers, then instead of using diet and excercise I just used the tabets to keep sugars down, then sugars went to 8.7 HBAC1, was put on Victoza and both medications stopped, in last 3 months, my sugars on Victoza sky rocketed to 11.9 HBAC1.
After a massive argument with the GP, I asked to be put back in Januvia and Invokana, my sugars over the last months have been in their 15 to 20, I took one tabet of each yesterday, and my number are in single figures, I have vowed to keep drinking more, do my excercises and also now go on a low carb diet, I am grateful for these new medications, without which my sugars was out of control, and my next option was Insulin (which would have been weight gain and more misery.
When taking these drugs, you must continue to do exercise and eat a healthy diet, they work with you, if you dont then you will see the affects wear off............then your on INSULIN................morning highs are caused by Glucagon release from the Liver overnight the only way to stop this is by using both Sitagliptin and Invokana together!
I thought I was a lost cause as my GP had me believe, in fact he was wrong and trying to get me on a tighter control with a change in medication to victoza was wrong, for last 3 months my sugars rose considerably, until I put my foot down and said put me back on my original meds, some Gps and the Nurses have no idea how a patient suffers and they dont seem to care, as for the last 3 months I have had nothing but considerable hassle from them.
