Itraconazole And Nausea
UpdatedI have been taking itraconazole for lung fungus for 6 weeks. The dose was increased to 200mg twice daily but it causes me really bad nausea. Is there anything I can take to counteract the nausea?

Are you making sure to take it with food, rather than on an empty stomach? As reported by the NIH, that sometimes helps prevent the nausea. Other side effects are listed as possibly including dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
Are you on any other medications?
Thanks. Always take itraconazole with food - never on empty stomach. Also take Adizem and Enalapril for hypertension.
