Having hip surgery in 4 days. I was given a prescription for Hydrocodon-Acetami Nophen 5-325 by my Internist for pain when needed. I have only taken a few in the last week but today, I am hurting a bit more. I know I am to stop taking anything with aspirin in it 7 days before surgery except for tylenol which doesn't work for me. Is there aspirin in this medication? Is it safe to take before my surgery? Thanks!

No, this medication contains Hydrocodone, which is a narcotic, and Acetaminophen, which is the active ingredient in Tylenol.
