Is It Okay To Switch Between Two Antibiotics?
UpdatedIs it okay to start taking my doctor prescribed ampicillin 500mg 3x daily after two doses of doxycycline 100mg? Took only two tablets 12 hours apart?
I have a tooth infection as well as one on a very hard to heal leg wound. Please if someone could let me know? I'm very worried!
Thank you!

Hello, Amy! How are you?
Yes, you should take the one preferred by your doctor and make sure to finish the full course of treatment.
The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
Is there anything else I can help with?
