Is Expired Acetaminophen Toxic
UpdatedCan 8 year old acetaminophen chemically change into something harmful and toxic? Thanks, I can't buy any at the moment and this is all I have. I will be taking 1000mg.

No, it does not become toxic after expiring.
However, medications do lost effectiveness over time, so it will most likely be worthless to take and you should just dispose of it.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache.
Is there anything else I can help with?
