Is Expired Butorphanol Tartrate Nasal Spray Still Ok?
UpdatedI have the nasal spray version of this product. I can't take oral meds as they make me throw up. This one has expired but I was tempted to take it for my chronic acute sciatica. It is two years old but it is an aerosol, so no air gets to it.

The FDA does not recommend that you use expired medications, since they can lose effectiveness over time. You can read more about proper disposal on MedlinePlus.
Thus, it would be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for new prescription.
Is there anything else I can help with?
