Two days ago I went to see my doctor after experiencing a three weeks of bleeding / menstruation. I was told that there's no serious problem but hormone unbalancing.

This is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections, thus it will not help with hormonal issues. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

Are you on any other medications?
