Is White Ip204 The Same As Yellow 10 325 E712 (Top voted first)
UpdatedI would like to know what is the difference between ip204 white and yellow 10/325 e712?
@notstupid, thank you @ken for saying what I hadn't got around to yet. Yes Dr.s do prescribe narcotics such as the ones we are discussing here and hydrocodone for migraines. There are all different types of illnesses that cause migraines and some are very serious and require these meds. So for you - not stupid, I say unless you are this person with the illness and the Dr. Prescribing then u must not judge. U too could be stricken with such a illness. After 40 years of suffering with migraines I was diagnosed with a brain disorder that's been causing them my whole life. So I tend not to judge so easily!
What is happening with my prescription for percecet being so hard to find? The past 2 months Ive had to run around to different drug stores to find it in stock. Why is it so hard all of a sudden for my regular pharmacist to keep it in stock?
Actually, "NOTSTUPID," some doctors do prescribe narcotics for chronic migraines. My sister's doctor has her on a month supply of hydrocodone for chronic migraines. My doctor has also prescribed me hydrocodone for the same thing, chronic migraines. So yes it does happen
Re: Jenna (# 1)
Yes it says that but right off the ritger scale Oxycodone HCL contains 8.9637 mg of oxycodone never the full 10 mg. [1]
Then after experiencing both generic companies (and sadly many more), IP 204 are complete junk! The Endocet Pharmaceutical is the same underlying company that makes the name brand Percocet which I've heard actually has the full 10 mg dosage strength. A situation similar to hydrocodone HCL and hydrocodone bitartrate. I can detect a definite variancy in chemistry between the two. Always go with Endocet if not NB if your pharmacy of choice carries this generic, I know I will. Anyone claiming all Generics are the same do not know this. I even had one pharmacist tell me that all Oxycodone APAP are made round shaped none carries the oblong or oval characteristic.

Based on my research, these two pills are the same in terms of their formulation. "Ip204" and "10 325 E712" both contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone in the strength: 325 mg/10mg.

I have had about all different ones due to major botched back surgery. My pharmacist said generics of any kind have to be within 20% of the name brand original medication in strength. So, there is a difference between generics, AND probably a difference between manufacturing dates, lot numbers, etc. The oblong IP 204's have been good, then next time not as good. I had the round yellowish/orange and seemed to vary from one time to the next also. Last time I got round white pills with 10 over 325 on one side and RP on the other. They seemed much stronger than the yellowish/orange pills. They give you what they have on hand and in my case, what my insurance allows. I'm having a procedure on my back in about 3 weeks. Hopefully it will stop the pain and I won't have to depend on pain meds anymore. That's NO way to live. The round, white, 10 over 325 with RP on the opposite side seemed the best, but I only got those once.
I always get my medication filled at a small chain grocery store. They always have my pain medication and if not they order what ever brand I request. ALWAYS AVOID the big pharmacys as they do not care and will fill with the cheapest generics they can contract with. If you build a relationship with your pharmacist he/she will really take care of your needs. Like I said stay with the "little pharmacys " good luck
The endocet is the 10 mg. But in order to avoid the crappy generics, you have to have your dr write do not substitute on your script. I too went thru umpteen so called 10 percs, but they did no good, like taking a placebo instead. I now always remind mu dr to write it on my script
V4829 oval is supposed to be 10mg/325. I sadly due to migraines was put on 10mg oxycodone. The last 2 months I was given the V4829 and for me did absolutely nothing! I to was calling different pharmacies in my area trying to get a different brand. Today I pocked up white oval IP204. Does anybody have any feedback on that brand? All of us just want relief and if we HAVE to take meds to accomplish that then we deserve to have the best just to get through the day! Thank you for any input
Steve, Here's hoping your surgery helps take your back pain away or at least less the pain to be more manageable without pain killers. You are correct that needing to be on these pills is not a way anyone should live. Cheers!
ALL THE generics are not as good as the brand name i dont care what any of them say.. I've live with pain for years (since about 2001) because of a series of car accidents. The brand name is so very expensive with the percocet that there is no way I could afford them... I was getting the round yellow and then this time i got switched to the big thick white one's (not the watson the other ones) and? They're OK>>> i personally like . the oblongs the best. they help my pain better not the ip's but the M somethings.. There IS A DIFFERENCE IN generic medications.. On anything there is a difference don't care what any1 says
@harleyman55, I'm not sure chemically what the difference is but I know the yellow ones work much better. Someone one here said it has something to do with the filler ingredients and I think that's right.
#acedaprofessional... as far as what you we're saying about most pharmacists you were pretty much right that they lied because they have to sign confidentiality agreements especially regarding the ones that work for a large chain companies that's why you should go to Mom and Pop's pharmacies. Now in regards to the part where you're totally wrong and misinformed is the fact about the amount and the difference of Oxycodone in various pills. It has nothing to do with oxycodone or oxycodone bitartrate or an HCL?
First of all let me tell you that I've been a pharmacist MD for 15 plus years just so you know that I'm professional and I've done this for a long time in many settings..
Now let's get this straight. All brand name medicines are allowed to have 10% less of the active ingredient in any pill. Also all generic medications are allowed that same little wiggle room but its 20%. So pharmacist just say that the active ingredient is the same so it's the same medication they're just giving you a half-truth get it? It's also why we notice difference in medications weather there generic or brand? Sometimes as you've noticed the brand medication pharmaceutical company has a deal with the generic company that makes the generic medicine but it's actually the same exact medication with the exact formula meaning to the T. All the same inactive ingredients and milligrams as well as the inactive ingredients and you pay a cheaper price. So do your homework for everybody because you can still get generic medications that are actually exactly the same formula as the brand. The way this is done which is great for us and also great for of course big Pharmaceutical companies is that they just get residual income off every generic pill that sold with the company they made a deal with. They can also get first dibs on making the first so-called generic pills as soon as there new brand medication in layman's terms runs out of being able to dominate the market. So yes while you saw that that one medication of Oxycodone 10 mg had actually just exactly 9 milligrams if you round up that's what it will come out to be which is 10% of that wiggle room they are allowed to have. Please don't argue semantics in this situation you were right about that point I just want everyone to know that this is true for every medication and it has nothing to do with HCL oxycodone or anything like that I understand please what you're talking about when you say HCL or Bitartrate? If anyone ever needs actual answers answered by a professional I'll be happy to help.
I have found a difference in the size of the iP 204. Some are not as good as others. They all say the same thing but small variation in size.
Yes they r junk. Not a happy camper.
I have had 2 back surgeries which both failed I get 100 milligrams fentanyl and I get my oxycodone pain medicine is not the way to live so ever is having back surgery good luck
@lilmoma depending on what's causing the migraine. I've had a cerebral angiogram to determine the cause of mine. I have a rare brain disorder. Narcotics do help mine. Not always do they even stop my pain. But all the triptan meds make mine worse and they are made for most common types of migraines which I do not have. Know what ur talking about before you judge.
Migraines are a medical condition. You sound like u never had a migraines and who are u to tell somebody that they are not in pain. I really hate losers like u to call somebody a dope fiend because there in pain and we do need pain medicine to make it through the day. i have spinal scoliosis, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. I'm suffering everyday with severe pain and you have nerves to call somebody a dope fiend. You are not a pharmaceutical company or a chemist or a doctor, dumb f***. For all people in pain that are suffering, get a life and stop criticizing us.
Re: NOTSTUPID (# 16)
Why are you making such a mean comment like that. The reason some of us come in here is because we want to be educated regarding our meds. If I don't take pain meds, I could not fully physically function. Plus, i take muscle relaxers, and Mobic. You must not be a Chronic Pain sufferer. Not everybody who has to take pain meds, are drug heads!
Because this is a controlled substance, that is, you can only get it with prescription and not even with a fax or a phone call from the doctor, they're very often stolen from patients and from pharmacies. So pharmacies keep less on hand to be less of a target.
