Is There Such A Thing As Inflamed Red Blood Cells (Top voted first)

i was told by my family doctor that i had inflamed red blood cells. is there such a thing that exist, if so i would like to know the correct medical term.

yes there is such thing and the medical term is macrocytosis

I've never heard of such a thing and several searches I've done to double check, since I freely admit I don't know everything, have turned up nothing so far.

As a matter of fact, the only thing that turned up repeatedly in searches was this post.
