Is Telista 20mg Sufficient For Long Term Treatment Of High Blood Pressure?
UpdatedMy wife's present BP has shown an abnormally high reading of 230/90, despite the fact that she is taking Telista 20 for the last number of years, i.e. about 5 years! She is 78 years old. Should she continue with this medication or change to some other salt?

Hello, Kanwal! How are you and your wife doing?
Is she on any other medications? Does she eat a lot of salty and fatty foods? As reported by the NIH, such factors can contribute to elevated blood pressure, in some people.
Otherwise, if they are no other factors causing it, yes, she may need to consult her doctor to switch to a different medication, or to raise the dosage of this one. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
