Is Roxicet Now Discontinued???

my doctor said they are DISCONTINUING making ROXICET, and that they arent making these anymore due to the deaths of users, and high addiction rate? is this true or is he lying to me? I am in much pain and this will no doubt be bad on me.

Hi Todd,

According to Roxane Laboratories, Roxicet Oral Solutions with the following National Drug Codes (00054-3686-63 / 00054-8648-16) are currently undergoing a 'shortage' as of March 16th, 2015. Their alleged reasoning behind this shortage is reportedly due to them "validating a new source for raw materials".

The manufacturer also reportedly discontinued 5 mL unit-dose cups of Oxycodone + Acetaminophen back in July of 2014.

However these changes are said to have not affected the availability of tablet form Oxycodone + Acetaminophen; nor single-ingredient Oxycodone solutions.

They go on to estimate that the 'shortage' and items on backorder will be available again around mid-May 2015.

I have not seen any official announcements suggesting that they are discontinuing Roxicet once and for all. However, it may be a good idea to contact Roxane Labs directly for more specific details regarding product information at: 1-800-962-8364
