Is Oxycodone And Endocet The Same Drug

I take endocet 10/325 on a daily basis for back pain and more so, nerve damage, that after a noninvasive back surgery procedure I had, in my legs. My right leg is very weak and after standing about 5 minutes my left leg goes numb from the knee to my foot. I have been taking for about 3 yrs now and they do seem to help; especially in the AM when I get up...cannot move without taking 1, have tried many times. Have not taken more than prescribed and on some days I do take less; depending on what I am doing that day. My question: does this mean I am addicted?

Now, to the next question, no. Addiction occurs when someone takes a drug, because they like how it makes them feel and, as their body gets used to it, they keep taking more and more of it to get that feeling back.

If you are taking it on a regular basis, then it's actually considered dependence, where you body is just used to having the drug to function, but you aren't abusing it. If there are times you don't even take as much as your are supposed to, then you would not be considered addicted.
