It should be helpful in your situation, although Lyrica is typically prescribed for neuropathic pain such as Fibromyalgia or spinal cord injuries. (were you prescribed this by your doctor?)
If you're dealing with muscle pain, have you considered safer over-the-counter products such as Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, etc?
Regardless I'd say that you should get your neck checked out if the pain is moderate or more. Hope this helps!
