What are the side effects of liprosil?
I believe the medication your referring to is Lisinopril, which is used to help lower high blood pressure.
To reference the first question, no, it is not a blood thinner, this medication actually works by helping to relax the blood vessels, so blood can flow more freely, this reducing the interior pressure.
Some of the most common side effects of these types of medications include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache.

Is there any other information I can help you with?
Ive been taking liprosil for a while now and I have noticed that since the beginning I have beeb coughing every now and then, when I cough I can feel that there is something inside my troath, do you think this is possible?
After taking this medicine for about a couple of months I started to get a tickle in the throat and developed a cronic cough and had a constant need to clear my throat. Sometimes my heart would race withing seconds after taking one. Other side effects I had were tiredness, nausia, headaches, nervousness and mood swings. I stopped taking this stuff and slowly I'm feeling normal again.
Mark and/or Ron,
I got a bad cough and raw throat (from constant coughing and hacking) from taking liprosil as well. have your symptoms cleared up sinec you stopped taking this...its been about a week since i stopped and im still experiencing throat issue.
Anyone still on this forum besides me?
I have been taking this medication for several months now, and I quit taking this stuff a week ago. I too had a nagging need to clear my throat. I thought it was because I quit smoking not too long ago. Should we be concerned?
after heart valve replacement & being on this med for several weeks....I got off it per my Dr. after informing him of an article I read re the coughing (which was happening to me) It stays in your blood system for a week or so; but now I have no problems w/new meds
