I found a round pill that is smooth, round but not flat and has L194 on one side... The other side is blank. I remember taking them I thought for pain but i threw away the bottle.. I don't believe It's for heartburn... Help

L194 is also tramadol which is for pain. It's name brand is ultra I have a whole bottle of prescribed medication without logo
l194 is not tramadol. tramadol requires a prescription. it is not for pain as we know it unless you have heartburn. consult your pharmacist.
This could also be Tramadol. A non opioid analgesic that binds to the opiod receptors helping w/ pain. I believe they're (The DEA) is going to up it's status to a scheduled narcotic this year. I am currently prescribed these and it's a white round non scored pill (pea sized but not that round) one side is blank the other side has L194 engraved in it.
It is Tramadol....you consult your pharmacist because I do have a script for it. I also have my generic otc heartburn pills that have the same engraving except it's scored and the other side isn't blank A pharm's # 727-327-8801 its a Walgreens
L194 is also tramadol. The other L194 medication is used for heartburn and has the same engraving. You can tell the difference between the two if you look at the blank side of the pill. Tramadol has a blank side and no score on it. The Famotidine has a blank side with a score in the middle. However there have been some manufacturers that do not score the Famotidine, so be careful. L194 is absolutely without a doubt not tramadol, this is the only place you will find someone claiming that it is
L194 is famotidine 20mg. I have a bottle of kroger brand "heartburn prevention" famotidine tablets 20mg with imprint L194 on one side, nothing on the other. small, white, & round.
I searched pill identifers on the Internet for L194. the only results were famotidine. the people claiming they are tramadol are wrong. they either are mistaken or someone ripped them off

It's neither ultram or tramadol...which is the same damn thing anyway it's famotidine...I take it everyday. So don't be worried.

Tramadol is called Ultram...not Ultra...n this pill isn't Tramadol. I have the exact same pills n my grandfather is a retired pharmacist that still work now n then n he gave me these for my Acid Reflux disease...

I am a pharmacist with my own list of ailments. Small round white tablets are one of my greatest pet peeves. I expect you Did have a small round white pill for pain. Maybe Tramadol? Please know that United States federal laws require OTC and prescription medicines to be imprinted with tablet identification markings for just this reason. I am 99.998% certain that the tablet you are describing is generic for Pepcid. It is sold as famotidine 20mg at Walmart labeled as Equate brand. You may have finished your pain medicine. If you got the pain meds at a pharmacy call them up and ask them what you were prescribed. They should be able to tell you the name and give you a description of the tablet. If it wasn't a prescription, I can't think of what it could have been, unless you were told it was for stomach pain (heartburn). Best Wishes.
Just to add to this thread - I was searching all over myself, and the first reply from Verwon is correct. However, there may be some confusion, because there is a reportedly brown tablet which also has the imprint L194 (sorry I don't have a picture of it). This is not Tramadol, but extended release Ropinirole 8 mg (NDC 46708-265).

L194 is NOT Tramadol, do check with your pharmacist, no 2 drugs are given the same drug imprint.

Someone needs to take notice. It's obvious there are two medications under the L194 imprint. Two totally different meds for different ailments. Could be a dangerous error.
There are two pills. People are arguing that it’s one or the other. I posted earlier that mine was tramadol; the over-the-counter one is famotidine. I think I saw something by a pharmacist saying the same thing. The OTC ones can have the same letter and number combination as a prescription drug that is different. Wish it wasn’t that way, but it is.

I am looking at the medication tramadol right now. It was prescribed for my greyhound. It is round, blank on one side, with L194 on the other. It is not scored.
Famotidine is OTC and made by a number of manufacturers. The famotidine I have is scored with no number, but since it’s made by multiple manufacturers it could be on some.
The blanket statement that L194 is not tramadol is INCORRECT.

Yes it is....I have an old script still and that’s EXACTLY what it is. Perhaps they stopped manufacturing them and now use this L194 for something different but I’d never understand the point of that. It’s either that or someone is mistaking the L for something else...Or even better....drug companies found something else it works better for and renamed/remarketed it.
