Yes, Hydrocodone is highly addictive; as are all opiate medications that I know of. People who take Vicodin/Norco 'usually' tend to feel a rush of euphoria and relaxation, and any physical pain begins to decrease. Over time, users can develop a tolerance for the drug, and they will eventually require more and more to achieve those same results. From what I've heard, many people who 'abuse' this medication consume anywhere from 20 to 30 pills each day, and sometimes even more.
If you or a loved one are struggling with Hydrocodone abuse or addiction, I'd strongly suggest talking to your doctor about setting up a tapering schedule or opt for seeing a drug abuse counselor, who can help you make behavioral changes for the better.
In my opinion, as long as you continue to only take it as prescribed and no more, then I think you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Details
I hope this advice helps!
