How do you know that you have an infection and desperately need an antibiotic?
And no, one that old will have lost most of its efficacy and taking it could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. It would be best to just dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription, if they confirm that you have an infection.
