Is Ativan A Narcotic

I would like to know if i take ativan will it make me have a positive ua?

Ativan is not a narcotic, it contains the active ingredient Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and, as a commonly abused controlled substance, it is something that is normally tested for on most drug screenings.

So, you would not get a positive result for narcotics, but you would likely get a positive result for Benzodiazepines.
