Is Amoxicillin A Pencilin

since i am allergic to pencilin, before i start a course of amoxicillin, i want to know is amoxicillin a pencilin.

Yes it is a pencilin.

They are in the same antibiotic family, most people that are allergic to Penicillin don't end up having a problem with Amoxicillin, but it's usually wisest not to risk and to just go with a different class of antibiotic.
