Is 4 - 50mg Tramadol And 2- Tylenol 3 Safe If Taken 6 Hrs. A

Root canal Friday 55 miles from home. No pain medicine given for home. When deadening wore off, this 64 year old was crying. I have Tramadol whis I take 3 a day for spinalstenosis. So my only thought was to take 2 every 6 hrs and no more than 4. It did not cut the pain. I also found Tylenol 3 in cabinet with 150 written on it. Which and how much should I take. This is July 4th and I doubt we have a pharmacy open in this rural town. The Tramadol just barely takes edge off of pain.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I realize it's weeks past the 4th of July at this point, so I can only hope that you got everything worked out ok. I just wanted to add that legally, only your prescribing doctor or pharmacist can advise you on what and how much to take of a pharmaceutical controlled substance. God forbid something happened, this should be their liability & responsibility.

However I can tell you about a few over the counter options worth researching, as they may be beneficial for additional pain relief: Kratom (red strains such as Maeng Da, Bali, Malay, Borneo), Turmeric, CBD concentrates (from cannabis), including THC (depending on where you live). In my opinion these options whether alternated or used adjunctively, can make for a well rounded therapeutic alternative for pain relief with less side effects where prescription drugs fall short. Again, these are simply suggestions worth investigating and not to be mistaken for medical advice.

Hi Glenda, it's 2017 and I'm just now reading your post. I can tell you that Tramadol does not work as well with Jaw or dental pain. I take 2 tramadol a day for Fybromyalgia so I thought it would work well when I had a tooth removed last Friday and it does nothing for that type of pain. I think Tramadol hits different receptors In the body. My dr. gave me Tylenol # 3 so I'm using that for pain. I am so surprised your dentist didn't give you anything. I get so mad these days because of people abusing prescript drugs and then making it harder for people who really need it to get them! Hope you're situation worked out. Thanks!
