I am trying to decrease the pain meds I am taking. I was taking one 30mg tab twice daily. Recently I forgot and skipped a dose felt fine, I realized it had a half life but I was ok. So I've been at that dose for three day s and I'm still ok. Should I continue with 30mg once a day or should I cut one in half and take it twice a day. I thought I read that ER pills should not be cut. Is this true. Thank you

That is correct, it is not safe to cut time released tablets, that could result in your getting too much medication, at once, and it could result in an overdose.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
However, you can speak to your doctor about tapering off and having them prescribe a lower dosage?
